Ty Herndon new album “Journey On” due June 8

The journey continues for No. 1 hit recording artist Ty Herndon, as the singer and newly discovered songwriter prepares to release a collection of Country-tinged inspirational songs, titled Journey On, on June 8.

“Writing this music took me on the journey of my life,” says Herndon. “There is joy and heartbreak, worship and big love within the walls of this music.”

Herndon’s newest project blends a contemporary Country and Christian sound with lyrics that reveal a singer reinvigorated with his faith and spirituality. The release also marks Herndon’s debut as a songwriter, having co-written every song on the album, including “When We Fly,” the track that earned him a 2010 Dove Award earlier this year in the Bluegrass Recorded Song category

Taylor Swift to Spend 13 Hours Meeting Her Fans

Taylor Swift will meet as many fans as possible during a special 13-Hour Meet & Greet at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, in the heart of CMA Music Fest activities, from 8AM - 9PM on June 13.
The 20-year-old country cutie will even include a short acoustic performance that afternoon shortly after 2PM. The event is open to the general public and admission is free!
On June 9 at the 2010 CMT Music Awards, John Mayer will trade guitar licks with his CMT Crosspads partner, Keith Urban, on the unreleased single “Hit The Ground Running” from Keith’s Defying Gravity, for the very first time on television.
LeAnn Rimes will also perform a fully-choreographed number during her own rendition of the John Anderson classic, “Swingin’,” from her forthcoming album Lady and Gentlemen.

LeAnn Rimes is finally speaking up about her affair and subsequent relationship with Eddie Cibrian that developed while both of them were married to other people!
She says:
“I take responsibility for everything I’ve done. I hate that people got hurt. But I don’t regret the outcome. It was very emotionally driven. I never once thought what I was doing was OK. I was out of balance. My marriage was out of balance. There was something missing.
“The hardest thing to hear is someone call either of us a home wrecker because we didn’t walk into a perfectly happy marriage and ruin it. I don’t know what the future holds, but I know it holds Eddie. I’m really happy. I’ve moved on, and I hope there can be some forgiveness and acceptance.”

ACM and CMA Vocal Group of the Year Lady Antebellum and their fans are joining together to help out Nashville flood recovery efforts. The trio announced today that all proceeds from their sold out fan club event on June 10 will benefit Nashville flood relief. In addition, a live stream of the intimate concert will be available on their web site for a minimum $5 donation. The live stream of the show will be hosted on www.ladyantebellum.com and www.livestream.com. After participating in GAC’s Music City Keep on Playin’ benefit at the Ryman, the trio is eager to keep the Nashville flood in the spotlight.

“It was great to be a part of the benefit at the Ryman…to see how everyone is coming together for Nashville and the surrounding areas is really inspiring,” says Dave Haywood. “We want to keep doing our part because it isn’t over yet…Music City has a long way to go. The Cedars-Sinai Sports Spectacular has been heralded by the Los Angeles Times as the premier sports awards dinner in the country. This exciting charity event was established in 1986 in response to the promise of genetic research leading to the understanding of numerous genetic diseases found in children as well as adults. The Sports Spectacular has raised over $19 million to benefit the life-saving work of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Genetics Institute. The Institute’s focus is to provide expert consultation and cutting edge research to find new and improved methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment for all types of genetic disorders, including mental retardation, dwarfism, cystic fibrosis, deafness and malformation syndromes, as well as common diseases of adulthood, such as heart disease, hypertension and diabetes. The event also benefits the Sports Spectacular Fellowship Endowment, which supports the training of five research Fellows in various medical fields at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

One night each year, the Sports Spectacular brings together a sold-out audience of 1,800 guests, including executives from the investment banking, entertainment, legal, and sports communities, with over 80 world-class athletes. It is a time for these athletes to pay tribute to their communities, fans and to all those who suffer from a genetic birth disorder. Together, the table patrons and athletes enjoy an exclusive silent auction followed by a moving awards ceremony in tribute to the event’s chosen honorees.
