As you probably already know, George Strait has been honored as the Academy of Country Music’s artist of the decade in an all-star concert,  taped last month in Las Vegas.  The show airs tonight on CBS and promises to be an incredible event!!  There will be performances by Keith Urban, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Brooks & Dunn,  Jamie Foxx, just to name a few!  I’ve got my tivo set and ready! Hey Ya’ll….It’s your girl Kristyn here! Just wanted to say hi and I missed you all last week.  Looks like the Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack still rocked it at number one, beating out my favorite boys Rascal Flatts! BOO! That’s alright, at least Sugarland is on top of the songs chart with “It Happens”. GREAT SONG!!

The Country Music Association and ABC Television Network have announced that “The 43rd Annual CMA Awards” will air on Wednesday, Nov 11th, 8PM ET on ABC live from the Sommet Center in Nashville Tenn.

The CMA awards, often called “Country Music’s Biggest Night,” honors the year’s best and brightest performers, songwrites, record producers and music video directors. “And we are ready to make this the most outstanding Awards broadcast to date,” says CMA Chief Executive Officer Tammy Genovese.

Richard Jaymes tells True Country about his new album, A Dollar and a Dream, to be released in June. Hear about his background and his early experiences listening to country music.
