Recording artist and philanthropist, Jewel, will perform two shows at the legendary Bluebird Café in Nashville, TN, to benefit the charity she founded over a decade ago, Project Clean Water. Jewel will perform a very special acoustic set at both 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Tickets are available at the Bluebird Café’s website www.bluebirdcafe.com

“I’m thrilled to be performing at the Bluebird and supporting a cause so dear to my heart, Project Clean Water,” said Jewel.  “So many country songwriters I admire have performed at the café.  It’s wonderful to perform some of my favorite compositions in such an intimate setting and help those in need at the same time.”

In the two days leading up to the Academy of Country Music Awards, there will be a string of free concerts with musicians you’ve actually heard of and maybe even bought their music. ACM Weekend on a venue called “Freemont Street Experience” will feature top newcomer category winners including Luke Bryan, Joey and Rory and Gloriana. Plus Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert will perform on different stages in downtown Las Vegas.

However, we can confirm that any illegally- obtained property, and/or fabricated footage, and the release thereof, will be dealt with swiftly following proper legal procedure.”

More stars have been added to Kenny Rogers‘ TV Special. Smokey Robinson, Tim McGraw, Chris Isaak, Darius Rucker, Billy Currington and Sheena Easton have agreed to perform on “Kenny Rogers: The First 50 Years.” They will be joining other stars such as Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Alison Krauss and Wynonna Judd.

Some of the celebs will be performing live from MGM Grand at Foxwoods Casino while others will be performing from remote locations. The special will be taped April 10th, but unfortunately the air-date and network have not been released yet.

The festival was created by Sarah McLachlan, and from 1997-1999 Lilith Fair was on of the highest grossing touring festivals in the world. Over 1.5 millions fans have attended the festival raising over $10 million dollars for national and local charities. AND Thankfully this year, the festival is back and ready to celebrate the women in music.
